CASA SOL is a Chicano Latino Living and Learning Community
Familia Academics Leadership Fun
CASA SOL is a community of Latino first-year students, freshman and transfer, working together with Latino faculty and staff towards a great first year. CASA SOL gives you the opportunity to connect with the Latino community on campus, be supported in your academics, have opportunities for leadership, and of course have fun! CASA SOL students participate in Chicano and Latino Studies classes, cultural events, networking and workshops, and a Fall retreat while always infusing música, good food, laughter, dancing y muchás! We invite you to be a part of our CASA SOL familia.
Students in CASA SOL enroll in a Chicano and Latino Studies course in the fall and spring semesters, participate in a fall retreat, cultural events, resource workshops and a spring semester trip. A peer advisor works closely with the students and also helps coordinate cultural, academic, and extracurricular activities.
Live and learn with students, faculty and staff who are devoted to your success!
Connect with University of Minnesota resources, including Latina/o faculty, staff and student groups that will help you achieve your educational goals.
