CASA SOL (Community Activism, Student Achievement and Student Opportunities for Leadership), is a distinguished Latino living and learning community for students new to the University of MN. This include traditional freshmen and transfer students.
CASA SOL strives to support in-group diversity, challenge outside stereotypes, and guide students to achieve their goals and aspirations
Students in CASA SOL enroll in a Chicano and Latino Studies course in the fall and spring semesters, participate in a fall retreat, cultural events, resource workshops and a spring semester trip. A peer advisor works closely with the students and also helps coordinate cultural, academic, and extracurricular activities.

To be considered for CASA SOL, all interested students must fill out this Statement of Interest.
For students who wish to live on campus, you must select CASA SOL as your first choice on the housing application. The housing application can be found here.
CASA SOL is a collaboration between the Department of Chicano and Latino Studies, the Office of Admissions, the Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence and Housing and Residential Life.
